People are scared simply by the thought of dying alone, not being accompanied by their family when they are about to breathe their last. Archbishop Villegas has a wish. On his deathbed, he would like to hear Jesus calling him "Soc." In today's gospel, the Risen Lord called Mary Magdalene by name. Isaiah speaks of God who calls us by our name and loves us. The Good Shepherd calls each sheep by name. What a consoling affirmation! I am called by my name. I am loved. |
