What a beautiful exchange of macarisms. Mary was praised by a woman. All disciples were praised by Jesus. Both were proclaimed BLESSED or "makarioi" in Greek. Are we equally blessed? Are you a "makarios?" Are you a "makaria?" All of us can be. Let's "hear the word and observe it." If we faithfully follow the Lord and live according to His will, blessed disciples we shall be. |
