"Where are the other nine?" This question is symbolic. While originally it referred to the ungrateful lepers who never showed up, it applies now to all of us. We belong to a group of nine. We are identified with the people who fail to acknowledge God's gifts, who don't appreciate His providence, who think we simply deserve the things we now enjoy. The Lord looks for us, "Where are you?" Truly sorry for our inadequacies, let us say, "Here I am." |
