Always pray! Does this mean we have to pray every minute of our waking hours? No! Not at all. The Greek "pantote" which is translated "always" or "at all times" implies that we should pray in all circumstances -- good and bad alike -- without being deterred by problems, spiritual dryness or meaninglessness. I experienced spiritual aridity but I persevered in prayer. I did not feel my prayer but I knew faith is not a feeling. I went on and I was refreshed... |
