Lest we get shocked or scandalized, we clarify that it is not Jesus who causes division but our acceptance or rejection of his person and teachings. Those who disagree with the Lord will be in animosity with those who agree with him. People who reject the gospel will be at odds with those who accept it. While Jesus, the Prince of Peace, desires the unity of all, it is our stand --for and against -- that makes us divided. |
