When I and my siblings were growing and going each on our own way to pursue our dreams, our mother would sigh, "Mabuti pa noong mga bata kayo. Kaya ko kayong tipunin sa ilalim ng aking mga pakpak." I didn't know it's biblical. Late have I discovered that those words sound almost exactly the same with Jesus' own "... I yearned to gather your children as a hen gathers her brood under her wings." That's how Jesus is saddened when we are scattered. Very sad indeed. |
