While storms inevitably disrupt our life, they actually clear our path. Zacchaeus was a wealthy man but "stormed" by his townmates for being a traitor, for collaborating with the foreign rulers, the Romans. They hated him as a typhoon disrupting their lives. Here comes Jesus who clears his path. The Lord meant to stay at Zacchaeus' house.A sinner who received love, this man small in stature, saw the new path to conversion. Amidst storms of hatred, the sun of forgiveness has shone upon him. |
