Two things we should never lose -- fear of God and respect for man. In today's gospel, the wicked judge had neither one nor the other. He never feared God and never respected any human being. Miserable is the man who is no longer afraid of God. Deplorable is he who does not respect a fellow. If we wish to set things right, if we want to live a meaningful life, we should always fear the Lord and respect our brothers and sisters. |
