Poor constituents. They are at the mercy of leaders. They have no choice but accept the leaders whomever they may be. But today's gospel says otherwise. People got the nerve to say, "We do not want this man to be our king." Doesn't this sound familiar nowadays? We don't always like our leaders but just the same we obey them. Let them rule. Let them lead. After all, they will be held responsible. |
