Nuns' religious habit and priests' cassock are considered pointers to heaven. When you see consecrated persons doning them, you are reminded of heaven, of eternal life, of God. The Sadducees, sad to say, did not believe in the resurrection, in the afterlife. Contrary to such teaching, we affirm that there is life after death. We look forward to our heavenly abode. We need to look at sacred signs. They are a vivid reminder of our final destination. |
