Dives in caritate. This richness in charity was possessed by the widow. By having only two lepta shows that she is poor. By not keeping one for herself shows her trust in God's Providence. By giving all shows her sacrificing love. Materially impoverished, she became spiritually affluent. We may be poor but our generous hearts will make us wealthy. Wanting on earth, overflowing in heaven. |
