During earthquakes and typhoons, even strong and tall buildings collapse. What Jesus foretold in today's gospel occured in 70AD. Jerusalem was destroyed and reduced to ashes. No stone was left standing on another stone. This reminds us that everything comes to pass. That which exists today will cease to be. Instead of amassing earthly wealth, let us store up heavenly treasures. |
