A philosopher once said, "We eat not only to cross boundaries, not only to fill in the empty space, not only to please the host but above all, to celebrate life." The Risen Lord ate with the disciples to renew his fellowship with them, to show signs of acceptance, forgiveness and restoration and to celebrate the gift of a new life. Even with the impending famine and dearth of supply, with the meager food that we have, we can still enjoy and celebrate the unparalleled gift of life. |
