While modern chasubles appear so dignified with varying designs and striking colors, they regrettably hide the small stole which is so rich in symbolism. It reminds everyone of the yoke laid upon the shoulders of the priest. This yoke, however heavy it may seem, is bearable because it is fitting-well [in Greek "chrestos"]. God knows our capacity. He etrusts to us works not beyond our capability. |
