Rejoice with those who rejoice. That is a very Christian disposition. When Elizabeth gave birth to John the Baptist, her "neighbors and relatives rejoiced with her." It must have been a great party. Would that Filipinos were as magnanimous as that. Crab mentality aptly describes Pinoys trying to pull others down especially those on a ladder to success. Why can't we celebrate with people rejoicing? Let us remember we belong to one Christian family. Our brothers' joy is our own. |
