The old Mananita song says, "The dawn is now appearing..." Dawn symbolizes hope for a new day. The Canticle of Zechariah or Benedictus beautifully expresses this hope, "In the tender compassion of our God, the dawn from on high shall break upon us to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death." Christmas is dawning, so is our hope. Let's make hope dawn in our own life and in the lives of those who come along our way. |
