"The Light shines in the darkness." The Johannine Prologue focuses on the Divine Light of the Word made flesh. Liturgy centers on Jesus, the Lumen Gentium. The Belen has a shining star. The Christmas tree is towering with a star. Christmas lights keep blinking. We are surrounded by lights but the greatest Light is Christ. He conquers darkness. He invites us to keep our light and light up the lives of other people. Only then can we find the true meaning of Christmas. |
