We shudder even at the mere thought of a massacre. Our fear is heightened by the fact that the victims are innocent children. Such cruelty born of envy on the part of Herod is truly deplorable. But why do we remain silent amidst murder of unborn children? Why do we not condemn many acts of abortion? Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of Life, must be crying. With Mary, let us uphold the dignity of life, sacred at its very beginning. When we do nothing, we tolerate an evil committed before our very eyes. |
