A fiducial look! That's what we need today. The Johannine picturesque scenario of Jesus being lifted up reminds us of the Book of Numbers. The Israelites had to "look" at the bronze serpent being lifted up in order for them to be saved. Amidst the mind-boggling covid-19 crisis, let's take a trusting look at the cross of Jesus. Our purely optical vision should be transformed into a deep fiducial gaze. |
