Amidst consumerism and materialism, the origin of a product matters most. Made where? USA? UK? Germany? Italy? Japan? China? Philippines? Today's gospel which is a continuation of the lengthy Bread of Life Discourse speaks of the origin of the Bread. It is from God. It is made in heaven. Imported goods may last longer but not forever. Only the heavenly bread goes beyond the confines of this world. It endures. It is everlasting. It is eternal. |
