Only a person with a contemplative stance can hear the voice of God. In a world of cacophony, there are many voices which confuse and trouble our hearts. Today, Good Shepherd Sunday, we focus on the distinct powerful voice of the Shepherd, the voice we recognize, listen to and obey. This voice calls us and leads us to a verdant pasture "that we may have life and have it abundantly." Unless we contemplate with our docile hearts, we will never hear God's loving and saving voice. |
