The news that NTC ordered the shutdown of ABS-CBN is selling like hotcakes. A great number of Filipinos here and abroad grieve over the fate of the network known in its motto, "In the service of the Filipino." Service is the message of Jesus' washing of the disciples' feet. It is a reversal of role insofar as it is the Master who serves the slaves. The "Kapamilya" has served the Filipinos. Eleven thousand workers need our support and service. Their plea should not fall on deaf ears. |
