By and large, this pandemic outbreak stirs us to contemplate on, if not totally accept, the reality of sudden death. Today's gospel makes this contemplation quite easier. Jesus assures us that we have a rightful place in heaven especially if we make our earthly journey heavenward. If we live a meaningful life, we shall die an equally meaningful death. Even if covid-19 opens the gates of death, Jesus' promise enables us to face it squarely. |
