St. John of the Cross once said, "No expectation, no frustration." In today's parable, the landowner was so frustrated with the servants' conduct. In the end, he expected that they would respect his son but they did not. So frustrating! Life teaches us lessons. The more we expect, the more we get frustrated. When we expect nothing, we never regret even if events turn out differently from the way we want them to. Don't expect. Never! |
