Having been forgiven, learn to forgive. This, in a nutshell, is the message of Jesus in today's gospel. It's a pity that the servant whose debt was cancelled by his master became so harsh and demanding. He never had pity with his fellow servant. This is the tenet of life and of Christianity: You have received, give. You have been "mercied," be merciful. You were understood, be understanding. You have been pardoned, pardon. You are blessed. Be a blessing. |
