St. Paul wrote, "Who will separate us from the love of Christ?" Nothing, indeed! We cannot be separated from God. We cannot be against him. But why are there Christians who deliberately stay away from the Lord? They choose the path to perdition. Jesus, in today's gospel, says "He who is not with me is against me." He now asks us, "Are you leaving or staying?" If we decide to stay with him, let us own the words of St. Padre Pio, "Stay with me, Lord." |
