When we point our finger at a person, three other fingers are pointed at us. The Pharisee accused others of greed, dishonesty and adultery and accused even the tax collector. He forgot that he was, in effect, accusing himself. Lest we be self-righteous, let us bear in mind that we are sinners. We have no right to point an accusing finger at anybody. Before the gate of God who is all Holy, we are simply beggars. We are truly unworthy. |
