"When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen" (Is. 60:22). These reassuring words from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah remind us of the Divine timing called "kairos" in Greek. Yes, God knows the perfect time. Today's gospel reports that no one harms Jesus because his hour had not yet come. When we lose patience and demand that things unfold the way we want them to, let us remember that God makes things happen according to his timing. No fast tracking. |
