A liar should memorize everything lest he be found inconsistent in his pronouncements. One who tells the truth need not memorize anything. Wherever he is, whoever confronts him, whenever he is asked, he will consistently say the truth and nothing but the truth. In the presence of his adversaries, Jesus abhorred lying. He is the God of Truth and cannot be a liar. We imitate the Lord. We don't tell a lie. We tell the truth and always the truth. |
