Envy makes us disturbed when others are successful. The chief priests and the Pharisees were bothered that Jesus was performing many signs and was consequently gaining popularity. Such envious reaction reflects our own. We are perturbed when others climb the ladder of success. We are anxious when people enjoy a good reputation. Christians as we are, we should rejoice when others are blessed. Their blessing is ours, too. |
