"Tell it to the marines." This utterance could have been directed to Judas. He was pretending to be concerned about the poor but in reality, he was interested in the money. Times there are when we sugarcoat our selfish motivations. What we say is a far cry from what our heart truly feels. Our hypocrisy becomes even more obnoxious than it already is. Jesus who reads what is within us would say, "Tell it to the marines." |
