The YES that changed the world! That was Mary's joyful response [in Greek "genoito" which is a joyful resignation to God's will]. When the angel invited Mary to "rejoice" [in Greek "Chaire" which is an invitation to joy], the young virgin of Nazareth, was greatly troubled but never doubted. She freely gave her joyous "Fiat." Let us thank the Blessed Virgin. Her YES bacame the dawn of our redemption. |
