It is interesting to note that the Greek word for "house or dwelling place or abode" which is "monai" is related to another Greek word "menein" which means "to remain or abide." In Filipino "tahanan" and "manahan." We can only enjoy God's dwelling place in heaven if on earth we abide with him. To "abide" with God is to enjoy his "abode." This dwelling place referred to in today's gospel is a reminder for us to remain in God. |
