Whatever is enjoyed by the head is enjoyed by the body. If Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, whatever is enjoyed by the Lord, we also enjoy. This is the reason why we can mediate for others. Jesus is the only mediator [according to St. Paul -- 1 Tim. 2:5] but ours is a secondary mediation or prolongation of the unique mediation of Christ. We are privileged to share in the mediation of Christ. We must be truly grateful. |
