Today I will celebrate Mass for a couple's golden wedding anniversary. Imagine, fifty years of loving union! Amidst trials two people have vowed to risk life and limb. They stick to the gospel imperative -- "what God has joined together, no human being must separate." In this Christian nation, why pass a divorce bill? Why not help couples strengthen their marital bond? Marriage was defined by God. It cannot be redefined by man. |
