"Let us cross to the other side." These words of Jesus are significant. He just served the Jews. Crossing to the other side means readiness to minister to the non-Jews. The Lord sets a good example. We don't limit our service to "our own." We also serve those "foreign" to us in race, language, color and religion. This is the tall order of Synodality. We become an inclusive church capable of receiving anyone, regardless of origin, background and orientation. We embrace all. |
