Created realities, however insignificant, are precious in God's eyes. Today's gospel affirms that even a sparrow [in Hebrew "tsippor" which sounds (jokingly) as "cheap and poor"] is important to God and is undoubtedly cared for. As apex of God's creation, we, human beings, are extra special in God's heart. Why worry? Why take life for granted? Let's strive to become the kind of persons God wants us to be. |
