Rest, if you must, but do not quit. There are people who easily give up because they feel enervated. They don't realize they only need a quiet rest and not a total surrender. Jesus himself knew the value of rest. He understood his apostles. They were on an arduous mission and as they came back to report to him, they badly needed a respite. Jesus sought a quiet place for them. In this journey we call life, we run out of steam. We don't call it quits. We only rest awhile. |
