We have become accustomed to calling Jesus "Bro" and rightly so because he is our brother by virtue of Baptism. Today's gospel further confirms that. Mary becomes our spiritual Mother if we "hear and do" the will of God. In doing the same, Jesus becomes our brother. Are we proud that the Blessed Virgin is our mother and that her Son is a brother to us? May our sense of belonging to this spiritual family inspire us to become the kind of persons God wants us to be. |
