Instead of cursing the dark, let us light a candle. This encapsulates the message of today's parable. We let the wheat and the weeds grow together. That reflects the co-existence of the good and evil. Instead of ripping out the toxic weeds, we should nourish the promising wheat. Even God, in his boundless love and mercy, allows the existence of sinners. Nothing is going to change such divine working. We, creatures, change our attitude. We patiently deal with an erring fellow. |
