Prejudices affect our relationship with other people. In today's gospel, the townmates of Jesus could not imagine, much less accept, that the Lord was performing miracles. They "knew him so well." When we are prejudiced, we limit others' capacity and potential for growth. We imprison a person in our stereotyped conception that sees no possibilities. Lest we forget, every person is capable of progress. |
