Let us try to hit the head of the nail as we engage in dialogue about marriage and divorce. Jesus himself did that in today's gospel. Quoting Genesis, he unequivocally stated the nature of the marital union, "What God has joined no one puts asunder." Today more than ever divorce issue is selling like hotcakes. While lawmakers pass a bill, the Church stands pat on her opposition. Lest we forget : Marriage was defined by God. It cannot be redefined by man. |
