There is joy in obedience. To obey is not enslavement but liberation. The apostles were, beyond doubt, seasoned fishermen. When they caught nothing they surely knew why. But here is Jesus commanding them to lower the nets again. Instead of protesting or defying the Lord's tall order, they obeyed. And the rest is history. I obeyed and did what I thought of to be "irrational." Believe me, I was proven wrong. Superiors see and know better. |
