A blind guide is a contradiction in terms. How on earth can a blind person guide another? Both in human affairs and in the life of faith, capacity and credibility come together. Anyone who is incapable becomes unbelievable. If we are blinded by the cravings of the flesh, we can never lead another to the path of chastity. We need a clear vision to find the right way and make others tread the same. |
