My mother used to be robust and strong. Turning 93, she is now heavily dependent on her caregivers. Today's gospel says something about that. Jesus addresses Peter, "When you were younger you used to dress yourself... when you grow old... someone else will dress you." We are not always young and strong. Time will come when sickness and aging will chase us. Let's live life to the full... and one day graciously face the twilight of our years. |
