You are God's gift. Be a gift to others. John the Baptist whose name means "God is gracious" or simply "God's gift" was a gift to his mother. Someone said, "A mother takes her birth the moment her child is born." He was also a gift to the people of God. He prepared the coming of the Messiah. He was a fearless voice condemning what was unlawful. We are not named "John" but we can be gifts to others. We are blessed. We can be a blessing. |
