At times what we gather we eventually dispose and let go. Such was not Mary's attitude. What she pondered upon [from Greek "symballein" which means "to put things together"] she also kept and treasured [from Greek "diaterein" which means "to preserve or maintain"] in her heart. So immaculate is the heart of Mary. As we celebrate this devotion which flourished during the 17th century, let us preserve the pure desires of our hearts. |
