"Let the dead bury their dead." This is head-cracking. How can a deceased person bury a dead fellow? An analysis of the text will be of help. There are two levels of death spoken of here, spiritual and physical. The complete statement is "Let the [spiritually] dead bury the [physically] dead. Those who have no time for the Lord are spiritually dead. Let them take charge of familial and earthly concerns. |
