We will be taken aback by some words of Jesus. With his pronouncement in today's gospel we will be caught off guard. "I have come to bring not peace but the sword." How come the Prince of Peace will cause discord and division? He made it clear though. Even members of one household will disagree among themselves in matters of faith. Some will accept him, others will not. We are either for Jesus or against him. |
