Those who do not believe can hardly recognize a miracle. The townmates of Jesus knew him to be the carpenter's son. Truly, familiarity breeds contempt. They refused to acknowledge the Lord's Divinity and his capacity to perform miracles. Consequently, Jesus did not work many mighty deeds there. When we become totally incredulous, miracles will never unfold before our eyes. It is not miracle that produces faith. It is faith that produces miracles. |
